3 Steps to Creating a morning Ritual and why it’s important

Share

It’s a tale as old as time, well at least in our time  “you can’t pour from an empty cup”. Before you are able to serve others, you must serve yourself first and in this episode we’re going over the importance of a morning ritual and the 3 steps to take in order to establish one that works for you and your lifestyle.

A morning ritual sets you up for success every single day by increasing your awareness for more productivity,   giving you the opportunity to set your priorities for the day and ultimately reducing your stress. in turn allows you to show up as your best self for you and your clients. So grab a cup of mushroom coffee and throw on your fav pair of lulu’s and let’s get to it.

Why a morning ritual is important and the benefits of setting yourself up for success.

  • Elevates your mood and helps you avoid burn out
  • Gives you a chance to set priorities Get to make decisions about your day before other people tell you
  • Serving yourself before you serve others
  • A moment of stillness
  • Reduces stress
  • Increases awareness
  • More productive/clear headed
  • Mindfulness
  • Attracts right energy

Step 1: Prepare the night before.

  • Set yourself up for success!
  • Before your work day is done, prep your schedule for the next day. This helps you know an idea of what time you have to be up in the morning, and then also sleep better!
  • Another thing too is if you know you always wake up and look directly at your phone, but your phone somewhere else.
  • In the future, start to make your calls not start until a certain time so you’re guaranteed a certain amount of time before you’re needed somewhere.
    • You can easily do this with a calendar scheduler, listen to episode of top 3 pages on your coaching website.

Step 2: figuring out time. What time are you going to set aside and how much of it?

  • If you have kids, a husband/bf you like to hang out with
  • Be realistic
  • Even if you just have…
  • Something to remember is you probably started your business to not just do what you love, but also have more time. And if your business is running you, you need to set those boundaries with yourself and clients.
  • A morning ritual is going to set that foundation of a successful day in order or you to best serve your clients, so if you’re like I have to get to work right away. I’m telling you from experience it will lead to burn out and you won’t serve your clients as well.
  • If you’re in a 9-5 and only have 20 minutes, maybe your morning ritual is waking up earlier and sitting down to read with a coffee and a book

Step 3: Choosing what you’ll do

  • What are things that you absolutely love to do and wish you could do “if you had more time”
  • Something that’s going to ground you and really connect with yourself
  • Reading
  • Meditation
  • Yoga
  • Walk outside
  • Movement around the house
  • Coffee
  • Journaling
  • Music
  • Dancing
  • This is where I want you to pick what it is that you love doing and that’s going to give you that breath of fresh air and make you feel good and ready to go.

Make it a non-negotaible, something that you always do. You want to make it easy on yourself and not something you “have” to do. It should be something you look forward to. You might have to experiment a little and see what works and what doesn’t.
