Creative control

On SquareSpace you do have creative control (with some coding), but Showit is completely drag and drop where you can do literally whatever you want. In SquareSpace pages are more templated, whereas in Showit, you have full creative control to design however and whatever you want.

Mobile version

On Showit you can change the mobile version completely by completely rearranging how it displays on mobile vs. desktop where on SquareSpace you cannot.

SEO Capabilities

On each page on your Showit website you have the ability to add SEO and it's super easy to find. SquareSpace does have SEO but it's not as easy to find or user-friendly.

Custom editing

If you purchase a template on Showit, you can customize every  single thing you see. The fonts, colors, pages, menu, ANYTHING is customizable. On SquareSpace, however, if you purchase a template it needs to be exactly how you see it and cannot be customized as much.

Customer support

Showit has an amazing team that answers you within 24 hours and actually helps! They'll go in to your website and make any changes you need and you actually talk to a person! They also have awesome training videos for pretty much everything you could possibly have a question on.

User interface

Everything is right there and if you can't find it, you can ask the customer support or watch the videos. With template or custom design, I also provide 30+ training videos on navigating the interface. SquareSpace is easy to edit, but there is a small learning curve that comes along with it.

Creative control

Showit is completely drag and drop where you can do literally whatever you want. In Wordpress you are stuck with the template or theme you purchase, whereas in Showit, you have full creative control to design however and whatever you want.

Website Hosting

While Showit is a website builder and host, meaning you can do it all in one, with Wordpress you have to purchase your domain and host separately. So it's more of an expense and harder to get in touch with customer support when there is a problem.

Blogging

Wordpress is the OG of blogging because their SEO capabilities are second to none. So when you combine Showit's interface with Wordpress blogging - it's a win, win. It sounds confusing, but trust me, it's amazing! All of the confusing parts of Wordpress are gone when you use Showit and Wordpress together.

Custom editing

If you purchase a template on Showit, you can customize every  single thing you see. The fonts, colors, pages, menu, ANYTHING is customizable. Wordpress, when you purchase a template you cannot change anything and must stick to what you purchased!

Customer support

Showit has an amazing team that answers you within 24 hours and actually helps! They'll go in to your website and make any changes you need and you actually talk to a person! They also have awesome training videos for pretty much everything you could possibly have a question on. Wordpress itself does not have customer support because they rely on your website host to help you.

User interface

This is the reason I do not suggest Wordpress for small businesses because it is not user friendly and there is a big learning curve on your part to learn just how to use Wordpress (and no one's got time for that!). In Showit, Everything is right there and if you can't find it, you can ask the customer support or watch the videos. With template or custom design, I also provide 30+ training videos on navigating the interface.

Creative control

Showit is completely drag and drop where you can do literally whatever you want. Wix also advertises as "easy to use", but from my own experience, as well as my client's, Showit is even easier to use than Wix.

Mobile version

On Showit you can change the mobile version completely by completely rearranging how it displays on mobile vs. desktop where on Wix you do have some creative control on the mobile version, but still not as much.

SEO capabilities

On each page on your Showit website you have the ability to add SEO and it's super easy to find. Wix does not have built in SEO and it is super difficult to do on your own. The load time is also much longer on Wix, which is not a quality of a high-converting website.
